FULL NAME: Marilyn Ivanova Gorbachov
MONIKER: Mare, Mary, any variation of her first name.
GENDER: Female
RACE: Were-muskox
AGE: 16
GRADE: 10th
PERSONALITY: Marilyn is quite the sweetheart, and will do anything to make the people around her happy. However, she's not very bright, so she often ends up weirding people out by trying to be too friendly. She takes a long time to think before she speaks, and when she does so, she talks in a low, calm, slow voice with a strong accent. She is amused by the strangest things, and will often stop what she is doing to listen to the sound of geese or to stop and gaze lovingly at a caterpillar crawling across the ground. She also is very sensitive to smells, but that's probably just the muskox genes in her.
On the night of the full moon, she transforms into a white muskox, and she behaves like...a muskox.
APPEARANCE: She's short, childish, and flat as a board. She has sleepy-looking red eyes and a rosy complexion. Her hair is frizzy and white, though surprisingly soft, falling all the way to her waist. Her most distinctive feature is the pair of horns that curves around her head, and a pair of white ears that are distinctly bovine. She is usually seen wearing a long overcoat, which she usually sheds halfway through the day because it simply gets too hot for her.
HISTORY: Marilyn comes from a long line of Gorbachovs, which have lived in the small village of Mütwalden in the tiny country of Fardüshnia for hundreds of years. She had a relatively normal life, raising chickens, playing the hurdy-gurdy (Fardüshnia's national instrument) and the like. On her twelfth birthday, her father took her to a zoo to see the animals, and by her childish mistake, she was bitten by a rare white muskox. The arduous transformation into a mythological creature took place over the next week, and she's been grazing by the light of the full moon ever since. Just this past year, her father saved up enough Woobles (Fardüshnia's currency) to bring her to Monomonon to try and find a cure for her...condition.
BLACK MARKS: Once she put someone in the hospital by nearly trampling them to death. She doesn't remember any of it.
STRENGTHS: Mary is eternally optimistic, and always tries to find a solution for both her problems and the troubles of others. She is skilled at playing the hurdy-gurdy, among other instruments, and her singing voice in Fardüshnic is quite nice, but in any other language it sounds like a long-winded yodel. She also has a tendency to attract animals.
WEAKNESSES: She's not the sharpest bulb in the crayon shed. Most academic classes baffle her, and she barely scrapes by in them. She's also easily distracted, to the point of stopping in the middle of a sentence and going off to do something else. She also has trouble with English, and often mixes up words that change the connotation of what she's saying.
PREFERRED CLASS: She loves art and music, and anything that doesn't involve much thinking and a lot of feeling.
OTHER: She loves pancakes with boysenberry syrup (Fardüshnia's national fruit.)
